CPM People is one of the very few contract management companies in the UK to be licenced in Germany under AüG. During the past few years, CPM People has supported hundreds of consultants in Germany and has vast experience of AüG regulation and its application.
So, what is AüG?
The Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz is the law which regulates the business of one company transferring its employees to work temporarily in Germany, a practice which requires an AüG licence. Administered by the Bundesagentur für Arbeit in Nürnberg, Germany, it is a legal requirement that any management company or entity “hiring out” or “leasing” personnel to a German organisation holds such an AüG licence.
Both agencies and consultants may well find that if they are dealing with German clients, they will insist on the AüG option.
Case Study - Satisfying German AüG Compliance
A well-established London recruitment specialist company was working closely with their client - a global enterprise with core competencies in the pharmaceutical fields. Located in Germany, this company demanded full AüG compliance in every aspect of a support programme including associated documentation for all their contractors working in Germany (arriving from the UK and from elsewhere), a first class service from an able, fully authorised provider.
Project Overview
This service was provided effortlessly and with great speed by CPM People as we are now in the third year of
having our AüG licence - enabling us to employ people in Germany. The task was to work closely with the
agency to fully satisfy their end client and swiftly respond to all that was needed – particularly in documentary
form. It was imperative that specialists could quickly be engaged and enabled to work in Germany with the client
with the appropriate documentation in place.

Project Outcome
We have seen a growing number of specialist consultants being fully supported by CPM People ‘under our wing’. We have a delighted agency team and a very satisfied client with several long-term support programmes being renewed for a second year by individual specialist consultants.
