What does a normal weekday at CPM People look like for you?
There is no such thing, but that’s what is so great. One day I can be liaising with existing or new clients in the major EU states and the next I’ll be proposing solutions in Hong Kong or Singapore.
What makes CPM People different from its competitors in your opinion?
With the PEO model being a relatively new concept here in the UK and with CPM People trading for over 12 years, I believe the experience we have in the large number of countries we operate in, offers clients the scope to expand quickly and efficiently.
What aspect of your work do you enjoy most?
The simplest question on here, the variety, no two days are the same. This does bring its challenges but it means I am always looking at new ways to provide a solution while expanding my knowledge of the industry.
If an employer needs to relocate a team of employees to a country they are unfamiliar with, which initial steps should they take into consideration?
Contacting CPM People! Joking aside the key consideration here is to find a partner that has operated in that country, understands the local payroll administration, costs to set up and perhaps the known nuances in that particular territory.
What has been the biggest achievement in your career so far?
I think the biggest achievement in my career so far is getting to where I am now. I started in the customer service industry, when I was 15, as a shop assistant. So now to be in a position where I am at the forefront of a unique business, with a team around me who all value my advice and opinions, like I once did with my peers when I first started out is a real achievement.
Can CPM People assist if the team are already working overseas?
In most circumstances this is what CPM People thrives on finding a solution for. The client may have a number of employees based in a certain country where their current solution is not working for them and to be compliant with local laws they may require a foreign presence or employer status which CPM People can offer.
